Follow these steps to install applications downloaded from outside the Google Play Store.
1
Enable Unknown Sources
Go to your device's Settings > Security (or Privacy / Apps & notifications depending on your Android version). Find and enable the option for "Install unknown apps" or "Unknown sources". You may need to grant permission specifically for your browser or file manager.
2
Download the File
Download the APK or XAPK file to your Android device. You can usually find it in your device's "Downloads" folder.
3
Install APK Files
Locate the downloaded .apk file using a file manager. Tap on the file to begin the installation process. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
4
Install XAPK Files (Advanced)
XAPK files (.xapk) are compressed packages that include the APK and OBB data. You will need a dedicated XAPK installer app (e.g., "XAPK Installer" from a trusted source) or a file manager that supports XAPK extraction.
Manual Method (for advanced users):
Rename the .xapk file to .zip (e.g., app.xapk to app.zip).
Extract the contents of the .zip file. You will find an .apk file and an "Android" folder containing an "obb" folder.
Install the .apk file normally.
Copy the contents of the "obb" folder (e.g., com.example.game) into your device's Android/obb/ directory. If the obb folder doesn't exist, create it. The final path should look like Android/obb/com.example.game/main.12345.com.example.game.obb.
Once the OBB data is in place, the app should launch correctly.
